Custom print methods

Custom printed caps for brands, events and full-color artwork

Custom printed hats put bold color, photographic artwork or an all-over pattern on a cap at a cost that scales well with volume. Screen print is the workhorse for solid-color logos and text, while heat transfer and sublimation open up full-color designs. Flat-front styles such as custom 5-panel caps and custom trucker hats give the largest printable area, so they are the most common choices.

We run all three print methods in our own factory, alongside flat and 3D puff embroidery. That means we recommend the method that fits your artwork rather than pushing a single process. For unstructured, low-profile styles, custom dad hats and baseball hats take heat transfer and screen print cleanly on the front panel.

Start by sending your logo and quantity. We prepare a free digital mockup, confirm the placement, then move to a physical sample before production. For step-by-step guidance, see our design your own cap page or the full list of services.

Why choose printed hats

Four reasons promotional and brand buyers choose print decoration — and choose us to produce it.

Full-color artwork

Heat transfer and sublimation reproduce photographs, gradients and fine detail that solid-color methods cannot. Send full-color art and we match the print method to it.

The right method for every design

Screen print, heat transfer, sublimation and embroidery each suit a different artwork. We recommend the method and cap style together, so quality is built into the quote.

Low minimum orders

Our minimum is low and set per style and color, so you can sample a print method and test the market before committing to a larger run.

Consistent print quality

Inline inspection during production and a final check against your approved sample keep print colors and placement consistent from the first cap to the last.

Artwork file requirements

The files we accept, and what each print method needs for a clean result.

Vector artwork

AI, EPS or PDF with text converted to outlines. Vector files are the best choice for screen print and embroidery, because they keep solid colors and edges sharp at any size.

Raster artwork

PNG at 300 dpi at the final print size. High-resolution raster files are required for heat transfer and sublimation, which carry full-color and photographic detail.

For screen print, supply one solid spot color per color in the design and include Pantone references for brand colors. If you only have a low-resolution file, send it anyway — our team will advise on the cleanest method before you commit.
